Online Meeting Sign-Up Coming Starting in January 2002, members will be able to register for meetings, training, and other chapter sponsored functions using the Acteva online registration service. We have made arrangements for this capability as a convenience to our members, to help us do a better job of determining attendance, and to help manage function expenses. Access and how-to information will be published as soon as arrangements are finalized. |

Chapter Launches Sponsor Program An effort has begun to recruit Meeting Sponsors and Advertising Partners for the Central Mass Chapter. Walter Scribner is providing leadership for this effort. He has developed structure for advertising in our newsletter, on our web site, and for obtaining a presence at our functions along with associated pricing. If you feel your company would have an interest in sponsoring a chapter event or advertising in our publications, contact Walter for further detail and help making necessary arrangements.

Get Involved Contributions of all sizes welcomed. Interesting presentation topics, a short newsletter piece, a potential meeting sponsor, or advertiser, or what ever. Just a few ideas to get the thought process rolling. Or contact board members with your interest and what sort of time commitment you schedule will allow. Through our cooperative effort we can enhance our personal experience and that of the membership as a whole.

Chapter Gains PMPs Hard work paid off for three chapter members who studied for and passed the Project Management Professional examination. Our hearty congratulations to Bob Lynch, Walter Scribner, and Jim Walsh on obtaining this prestigious recognition. If you have questions about sitting for the PMP exam, don't hesitate to contact Bob, Walter, or Jim to share their learnings and success strategy.

Ad Space Available Highly focused distribution and modestly priced. Contact Walter Scribner for details and to make arrangements to place your ad in this newsletter and on our web site.

Post Presentation Buzz Our thanks to Kanan Alhassani of Integrated Management Associates. Based upon interaction during the presentation and comments after the meeting, it was clear the Kanan's presentation, which spoke to the impact of the newly released PMBOK Guide, 2000 Edition, on PMP exam preparation, captured everyone's interest.
