Topic

Mohegan Sun Casino PPM

What is Project Portfolio Management? What does it take to establish a PPM capability? At Mohegan Sun, we needed a tool to manage our projects and ultimately the portfolio. We understood that the tool was not PPM, but only a component of it. The approach taken at Mohegan Sun was to gamble on a cultural change, implementation of a PPM tool and instantiation of a project management methodology. In so doing, it meant exposing the portfolio to high level executives for strategic decision making. This strategic undertaking by the PMO is a Revolutionary, Transformational and Evolutionary change.
