Duties and Responsibilities

Role

  • The Secretary records and archives the chapter board meeting minutes
  • The Secretary is an elected officer reporting to the Chapter President

Responsibilities

  1. Keep records of all proceedings, actions, and chapter board meetings
  2. Take notes during board meetings. Send minutes to board members.
  3. Track action items and list in meeting minutes
  4. Conduct other correspondence of the chapter as requested by the President
  5. Maintain archive of chapter board meetings and hand over to chapter historian (new web site)
  6. Track time during chapter meetings to ensure meetings is kept on schedule
  7. Maintain and deliver all permanent records to successor. Provide guidance and training to successor.
  8. Provide any relevant functional information for posting to Central MA web site as needed.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet
  2. Comfortable and proficient addressing groups
  3. Strong organization and follow-up skills
  4. Keen attention to detail as well as solid project management skills
  5. Highly organized; self-starter
  6. PMI National and Central MA member in good standing
  7. Attends monthly chapter and Board of Director Meetings
