Duties and Responsibilities

Role

  • Responsible for overall operation of Central Mass Chapter
  • Elected officer by the chapter members

Responsibilities

  1. Maintains the vision of chapter
  2. Organizes board of directors and other members to develop operations that meet the mission of the chapter and PMI
  3. Ensures that all government and PMI forms are filed correctly and on time
  4. Ensures that Operations manual is updated as necessary and kept current
  5. Ensures that the resources of all board functions are 2-deep
  6. Develops and implements strategies that satisfy the member’s needs
  7. Constantly updates personal knowledge of PMI strategies and operations
  8. Ensures that chapter strategies are aligned with PMI’s strategies
  9. In conjunction with the board of directors, develops and implements programs that satisfy the members’ needs
  10. Ad Hoc member of all committees
  11. Ensures that the chapter operates within its budget and with fiscal responsibility
  12. Implements change without disrupting operations
  13. Sets agenda for and runs the chapter board meetings
  14. Resolves conflicts among chapter/board members
  15. Maintains current knowledge of PMI strategies
  16. Member of PMI Region 3 Committee
  17. Attends PMI conferences
  18. Reviews communications from PMI and distributes the information as required
  19. Ensures that all approved functions are properly resourced
  20. Listens to members’ needs/requests and develops appropriate programs to satisfy the needs/requests
  21. Prepares article for chapter newsletter
  22. Ensures that successors for all positions are identified and properly trained in advance of assuming the position
  23. Mentor Vice President in his/her development for the role of next Chapter President
  24. Track BOD action item statuses
  25. Provide any relevant functional information for posting to Central MA web site as needed
