Duties and Responsibilities

Role

  • The Director of Communications is an appointed position reporting to the Chapter President.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain Chapter mailing/distribution list(s); add and delete list members as requested
  2. Manage Chapter mailings, including the creation and distribution of meeting notices (3) to distribution list(s).
  3. Communicate meeting information to appropriate/interested networking groups and web sites.
  4. Send public service announcements to local periodicals (e.g.Worcester Business Journal, Worcester Telegram, Metro West Publications, Boston Globe, and Mass High Tech Journal).
  5. Reply to queries from public, other chapters, interested groups/organizations, etc.
  6. Liaison with Project World and other local conferences
  7. Manage external Chapter communications, including collaterals, emails, letters, etc.
  8. Attend all Chapter and Board of Director meetings.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Self starter; follows through; adhere to deadlines
  2. Good writing skills; good communicator
  3. Skilled with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and web interfaces
  4. PMI National and Central MA member in good standing
  5. Attends monthly chapter and Board of Director Meetings
