Duties and Responsibilities
|
|
Role
- The Director of Communications is an appointed position reporting to the Chapter President.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Chapter mailing/distribution list(s); add and delete list members as requested
- Manage Chapter mailings, including the creation and distribution of meeting notices (3) to distribution list(s).
- Communicate meeting information to appropriate/interested networking groups and web sites.
- Send public service announcements to local periodicals (e.g.Worcester Business Journal, Worcester Telegram, Metro West Publications, Boston Globe, and Mass High Tech Journal).
- Reply to queries from public, other chapters, interested groups/organizations, etc.
- Liaison with Project World and other local conferences
- Manage external Chapter communications, including collaterals, emails, letters, etc.
- Attend all Chapter and Board of Director meetings.

Desired Qualifications
|
- Self starter; follows through; adhere to deadlines
- Good writing skills; good communicator
- Skilled with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and web interfaces
- PMI National and Central MA member in good standing
- Attends monthly chapter and Board of Director Meetings
