About the Panel of Judges

We would like to thank the panel of judges who have volunteered their time to evaluate the submitted projects in the category. We recognize and value the extensive experience they contribute to these awards. Please read more about Matthew T. Davis (PMP, MCITP), Karen M. White(MBA, PMP, FLMI), John Riopel (PMP, MCP) and Raymond L. Sheen, PMP below.


Matthew T. Davis, PMP, MCITP has been an active member of the Project Management Community for more than 20 years. Mr. Davis has managed development and delivery of PMO�s, EPM deployments, project delivery methodologies, strategic change programs, training seminars, organizational maturity assessments, and other strategic initiatives for clients of all kinds. Mr. Davis has provided consulting services to a variety of well-known companies, including Fidelity Investments , Estee Lauder, Reuters News, John Hancock Insurance , Iron Mountain , Mead Johnson, Mohegan Sun Casino, and AARP. He has also provided consulting services to leaders in the medical and healthcare industries including Smith & Nephew , Biogen -Idec, and Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group.

Mr. Davis is Vice-President for Consulting Services at PM Providers, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) in Project & Portfolio Management , and   President of the Microsoft Project Users Group (MPUG) Boston Chapter.

 


Karen M. White, MBA, PMP, FLMI has been an active member of the Project Management Community for more than 25 years. Ms. White has managed the planning, execution and delivery of global custody and transfer agency systems, new product innovations, business development and strategic change initiatives for a variety of financial institutions all over the United States .

Ms. White is an Assistant Vice President at Sun Life Financial, U.S where she leads a Program Management team responsible for the execution of business initiatives. She holds an MBA from Suffolk University, a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Boston University, is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and maintains 6, 63, 7, 24 FINRA licenses.


Raymond L. Sheen, PMP is president of the consulting firm Product & Process Innovation, Inc. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and his MS in Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ray is a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.

Ray spent 10 years in the Air Force. He was an instructor pilot in the T-38 Talon aircraft, and also was a design engineer for several flight simulators. He then spent a number of years as project officer for various aspects of the MX missile system during the design, development, and early production phases. Ray finished his Air Force experience as the executive officer for the Ballistic Missile Office, a 1,000-person organization responsible for all Air Force ballistic missile design, development, and production.

Ray spent nine years with General Electric, working in the Aerospace business, on GE�s corporate staff, and in the Electrical Distribution and Control business. While in the Aerospace business, he was again involved in program management for defense projects. When Ray moved to GE�s corporate staff he was responsible for the implementation of Best Practices and Continuous Improvement at nine of GE�s businesses. In this role, Ray acted as a consultant to GE�s engineering, manufacturing and services businesses. He then held several engineering management positions in GE�s Electrical Distribution and Control business, including manager of design engineering for all circuit breakers and switches. Ray also played a major role in GE�s New Product Introduction initiative.

As founder and president of the consulting firm Product & Process Innovation, Ray has worked with many corporations to review and improve their business operations, project management processes, product development processes, and manufacturing processes. He served as chairman of an industry-wide task force charged with developing the standards and certification process for a new line of electrical products.

Ray provides training and consulting in program and project management, product development, design for manufacturability, and lean manufacturing through Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Current corporate clients include Instrumentation Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamic/Electric Boat, Charles Stark Draper Laboratories, Instrumentation Laboratory, NSTAR, Symmetricom, Bluefin Robotics, Nypro Inc., Medtronic Vascular Division, Waters Corporation, Tyco, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, American Superconductor, General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, and Kaman Aerospace. He is a contributor to the book, �Guide to Project Management,� published by Harvard Business Review.


John Riopel, PMP, MCP has over 25 years of experience as a Program and Project Manager in government services and commercial industry implementing and managing internal, civil, commercial, and government projects. John has provided Program and Project management expertise to the US Navy, Army, banking, telecommunications, retail, and entertainment industry clients. Using a disciplined approach aligned to the Project Management Institute, John has lead teams in the delivery of strategic initiatives throughout his career. John�s technical background in Microsoft project management technologies spans the entire evolution of the Microsoft Project tool set, with a deep understanding of how to apply these technology constructs and concepts to real-world project management challenges.

Mr. Riopel is a certified Project Management Professional, (PMP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in Enterprise Project Management, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Microsoft Project Users Group (MPUG) Boston Chapter.
