Frequently Asked Questions
Version 2.0

Q1#. Why Participate in the Project Manager of the Year Award?

The benefits are many, the Award recipients will be recognized by their peers and the PMI professional recognition can enhance the recipients’ career, this is in addition to the CMASS gift, a CMASS certificate of accomplishment and a Project Summit Pass that will further enhance your skills. The Award can be included in a performance review, a resume and LinkedIn profile; the recognition will make the PM more marketable in this job market. CMASS Project managers between jobs can also participate and submit an application on a project conducted in a volunteer or intern role. The investment is a couple of hours filling out the submission form selling your accomplishments and expertise to the judges. The judging criteria is based on the leadership, performance and expertise demonstrated by the project manager and not the nature or outcome of the project.

Q2#: Why is the CMASS Chapter developing the Project of the Year award?

The CMASS Award program is designed to recognize, honor and publicize the accomplishments and leadership of the PMI CMASS Project Managers of the Year who demonstrate superior project management skills.
